I appreciate that the post above was created almost two years ago. However, the information is so generic, it might just as well have been copied and pasted from the internet. I was in Zamboanga City last week. The first significant point is there are no international flights in or out of Zamboanga International Airport. As for the seaport, it may be best to visit in person and actually see how much is going on down there, but don't build your hopes up too much in advance.
