 Diving in Balicasag
While most of my Bohol trip I stayed close to Alona Beach, I did stay one night out at the government run resort on the small island of Balicasag as I heard that the diving was fantastic.
I really did enjoy my dive but I still feel that Apo Island in Dumaguete is still my favorite place to dive. This could be two reasons. One, I came about 3 inches from a beautiful turtle in Apo and two, I am always with friends to share the experience with.
This trip to Balicasag I was only with my girlfriend who is not scuba qualified... yet. Had I been with someone to share the experience of a Balicasag dive, I am sure it would have been higher on my lidt of great dives.
Not to mention that my diving crew meanwhile were in Subic diving with the dolphins! Damn it!!!!
Anyway, Balicasag is a great diving resort and if you are traveling to Bohol to dive, this should be on your list.
